1.

Cotton Wool
Dir. Nicholas Connor
UK | 39 mins
Synopsis: A single mother suffers a devastating stroke leaving her teenage daughter and 7-year-old son to care for her, testing the family's strength to hold things together as roles are reversed.

2.

Wannabe
Dir. Jannis Lenz
Germany | 30 mins
Synopsis: Coco is 17 and feels a desperate need to become famous even though she seems to lack the necessary talent. She is willing to do anything for recognition and avoid becoming an everyday "loser". She skips school to attend castings, music videos shoots, and to film YouTube clips but faces one humiliation after another and is quickly pushed to her limits. With her "Coco Channel", she tries to expand her notoriety on the internet and create the successful, loved, and confident character she wishes she really could be. As a crossmedia project, connecting film with the online video scene, WANNABE tells the story of a young YouTuber, who builds herself a fictitious world on the Internet.

3.

Cathedrals
Dir. Benjamin Caro
USA | 21 mins
Synopsis: Inspired by the popular Raymond Carver story, “Cathedrals” is about a young husband who, through a strange, almost psychedelic experience with a blind man, is able to see his marriage from a new perspective.

After each film there will be a minute-long break, during which we invite the audience to complete scorecards. The cards go towards the scoring of the films and are sent directly to the filmmakers to provide insight into the audience's response.
