Logline: "TEAM TIBET is a remarkable story of courage; of physical, mental and spiritual exhaustion, with a drive to cross the finish line stronger than that of any Olympian. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will, once again, see the world’s greatest athletes compete for sport’s highest honours for their home nations. But Tibet will not be one of them. Tibet cannot take part in the Olympics as it is not recognised as a sovereign state by the International Olympic Committee so, in an act of defiance and solidarity, a group of young Tibetan refugees held their own. Their stories weave through the physical and emotional exhaustion of Olympic events, held in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. For them, it is bigger than the Games - it’s a race for life. TEAM TIBET is a film about survival, perseverance, friendship and hope."
After each film there will be a minute-long break, during which we invite the audience to complete scorecards. The cards go towards the scoring of the films and are sent directly to the filmmakers to provide insight into the audience's response.
