Hooked was shot in one day at Leasowe shore, Wirral. Merseyside in May 2011. It is Harry Danns’ personal story of his recovery from long term heroin addiction and his passion for fishing. This film offers a short and powerful true life moment – an epiphany – for Harry when he realizes he is able to appreciate a moment free from the misery off addiction.

Five special mentions were awarded, along with the top documentary and narrative films. Our winners were two local, and extremely gifted, filmmaking teams led by Glenn Hanstock with his documentary Tickle The Ivories and Zoe Guilford with her film Him Upstairs.
