Following on from the massive success of our First-Time Filmmakers Showcase, with one of our premier teams winning an Academy Award, we have designed this new showcase programme intended for all types of filmmakers – with the overall goal for all who are selected to have a head start within the film industry.
All these events are held quarterly at our headquarters in the world-renowned Pinewood Studios. We look forward to welcoming you here, and providing this unique screening opportunity. Successful submitters will get invaluable feedback and advice from peers, industry professionals, and the Lift-Off team. All submitters also receive a free Ebook entitled “Secrets for Festival Submission Success.”
First up, our “First-Timers” event – one of FilmFreeway’s Top 100 festivals – encourages first time filmmakers to submit their work to be analysed by peers and professionals alike.
It incorporates screenings, discussion, feedback and presentations by organisations eager to support grassroots filmmakers. It is a great insight into how festivals programme and how filmmakers can take their creative journeys to the next level.
This initiative has been created to showcase filmmakers starting out on their journeys, and to offer the tools, platform, and advice to build their careers from the right starting point, helping first-time filmmakers to realise their professional lives within film.
The International Music Video Showcase aims to celebrate and nurture creatives combining the visceral worlds of both music and film.
It incorporates screenings, discussions, feedback, and presentations by organisations eager to support animators and filmmakers venturing into the exciting world of independent music videos.

The International Screenwriters Showcase, based at Pinewood Studios, is a quarterly event aimed at enriching and workshopping new scripts from unsung global talent.
It doesn’t matter what your script is, what it’s about, or where you are from – this competition is open to all. Those selected will receive an in-depth, in-person analysis by the Lift-Off Community, with huge potential of taking your script forward for production, if that is your wish.
Selection also entitles the screenwriter to free submission to the Lift-Off Community Script Database.

Each of the Lift-Off Global Network’s eleven international city-based festivals receives hundreds of fantastic and diverse documentaries each season, and it’s always a great shame that we can’t provide all of them with the exposure they deserve.
This is why we have created The International Documentary Showcase, which aims to celebrate and showcase more of the incredibly insightful content that we receive.
The event consists of screenings, discussions, feedback and presentations by organisations eager to support documentary filmmakers venturing into the exciting world of independent film, held at the world-famous Pinewood Studios.
